Information:
Hut/Dreispitz zur Uniform eines hannoverschen Postdirektors zur Zeit des Königreichs Hannover, hergestellt von Louis Scherer, Königlicher Hutmacher, Kramerstraße No. 9, Hannover

Ergänzung: Zweispitz aus schwarzem Haarfilz. Die vordere Krempe ist dekoriert mit zwei schwarzen Seidenbändern, die von der jeweils gegenüberliegenden Seite des äußeren Randes im zur Mitte des unteren Krempenrandes zulaufen. Rechts der Krempenmitte verläuft eine halbrunde Bandschleifenkorkade aus goldfarbenem Stoff (verblichen) und gedrehtem goldfarbenen Metall, mit einem goldenem Wappenknopf (Krone, Pferd, Posthorn). Die Enden der beiden Spitzen sind ebenfalls mit Kokarden aus gedrehtem Metall belegt. (Oberharzer Bergwerksmuseum)
