Information:

English version:
Hanging lamp composed of three components for Shabbat and other Jewish holidays. The shaft is baluster-shaped with a round cross-section and hollow inside. A hook is attached to two holes in the shaft at the top. The adjustable saw or ratchet typically used for hanging from the ceiling is not included. The oil reservoir, shaped like a six-pointed star, is screwed onto the shaft. The underside of the star is punched with star-shaped ornaments in the central area. Some of the star's prongs are badly worn at the tip. There is also an eyelet cast onto the underside of the star, into which the drip tray is hooked. It catches the oil that drips from the wicks at the tip of the beak. The hook of the drip tray is attached to the upper end of a simple rod that is soldered (?) into the bottom of the drip tray. According to the entry book, the lamp comes from Wöllmarshausen, a small Jewish rural community in the Gartental valley near Göttingen, which ceased to exist in the 19th century.
Early forms (from the 11th century onwards) of this type of lamp are known to exist in the Erfurt Cathedral Treasury, the Cologne City Museum, Göttingen (1902/921, 16th century), etc., as well as in England. The simple form, such as 1902/921, was not used exclusively by Jews until the early modern period. The simple form, such as 1902/921, was not used exclusively by Jews until the early modern period. After that, however, the hanging, multi-spouted oil lamp was restricted to Jewish households. It can be made of copper alloy, but examples made of tin and silver are also known. It can have four, six, or more beaks. It is attached to the ceiling with an adjustable saw, from where it is lowered on Shabbat and holidays (hence the saying, “When the Sabbath lamp descends, hardship and sorrow turn away”). The lamp was filled with oil and lit before the start of Shabbat, as devout Jews are not permitted to light fires on this day. With enough oil, the lamp could burn throughout the holiday. This type of lamp was in use in Ashkenazi Judaism until the early 20th century. The paintings of Frankfurt artist Moritz Oppenheim (1800-1882), who mainly devoted himself to Jewish genre paintings, give an impression of their context of use.
According to the entry book, the Shabbat lamp comes from Wöllmarshausen. The Jewish community founded in Wöllmarshausen around 1750 numbered just under ten families.
