Inhalt

Information:
Dukaten wurden erstmals 1284 in Venedig geprägt. Neben dem Goldgulden wurden sie als Goldmünze zur Leitwährung des Spätmittelalters und der Frühneuzeit.
Der Münzname Unghero (Ungaro, Ongaro) macht deutlich, dass es sich um eine der zahlreichen Nachahmungen ungarischer Dukaten handelt.
Die Herzöge von Ferrara und Modena bilden den italienischen Zweig der Welfenfamilie, der durch die Geschichtsforschungen von Leibniz wiederentdeckt wurde.
