Durchmesser: 41,5 mm</mods:extent></mods:physicalDescription><mods:abstract>Bei der Münze handelt es sich um einen Taler aus dem Herzogtum Braunschweig-Lüneburg von 1628, der auf der Frontseite Christian den Älteren (Reg. 1611-1633) mit der Umschrift "CHRISTIANUS.D.G.EL.EP.MIND.DUX.B.ET.L."' zeigt und rückseitig, wie üblich, das behelmte Wappen aufweist. Die Münzstätte war Clausthal, der Münzmeister, laut Zeichen, Henning Schreiber.
Die Münzoberfläche ist allerdings flau und besitzt einen irritierenden Glanz, beides sind Hinweise auf einen Guss, anstelle eine Prägung. (Kreisarchäologie Rotenburg)
