Obwohl der Kopf gerade nach vorne ausgerichtet ist, ist er leicht nach links geneigt. Tränensäcke und eine deutliche Nasolabialfalte zeigen das fortgeschrittene Alter des Dargestellten mit Oberlippenbart. Der Mund ist geschlossenen, die geöffneten Augen blicken geradeaus. Das kurze Haar weist einen Seitenscheitel auf. (Städtisches Museum Braunschweig)
