Breite: 182 mm</mods:extent></mods:physicalDescription><mods:abstract>Zeichnung auf einer Seite im Skizzenheft II im NHA (6.2.327/328) nach der Ruine der Kirche San Nicola beim Grabmal der Caecilia Metella an der Via Appia Antica. Anwesen "Capo di Bove" im 13. Jahrhundert von der Adelsfamilie Caetani bebaut mit einem Palast, einigen Häusern, der Kirche, einer Mauer mit zwei Toren und zahlreichen Verteidigungstürmen neben dem Grabmonument aus dem 1. Jahrhundert v. Chr. für die Tochter des römischen Konsuls Quintus Caecilius Metellus Creticus.
Grabmal auch im Hintergrund von Tischbeins Gemälde "Goethe in der Campagna" (1786/87), wobei die Ruinen nur angedeutet sind. HA mit ähnlicher Panorama-Ansicht des Anwesens mit angedeuteter Kirchenruine als Zeichnung auf einem Einzelblatt (6.2.198)

Die (museale) Sammlung, bestehend aus Mobiliar und Hausgerät, Tafelgemälden, kleineren und größeren Antiken, Gipsabgüssen, kunsthandwerklichen Objekten aus Keramik und Glas und einer kleinen Bibliothek, befindet sich im Allmers-Haus in Rechtenfleth.
