Der Gipsbergbau Admont bezieht sich auf eine Lagerstätte im Kematengraben im südöstliche Marktgemeindegebiet von Admont am Westabhang der Schildmauer. Hier wurde im Jahr 1961 durch die Franz Deisl GmbH mit der Gewinnung von Gips im Tagbaubetrieb begonnen, später von der Firma Wietersdorfer &amp; Peggauer Zement GmbH übernommen und in den 2000er Jahren stillgelegt.. In Zeiten der Firmenführung durch die Franz Deisl GmbH wurden jährlich ca. 20000 bis 30000 Rohgips gewonnen. Die Verwendung galt hauptsächlich der Zementindustrie.
