Anmerkung zur Mühle:
An einem Mühlengraben liegt (eine) Wassermühle, der Mühlengraben wird durch den kleinen Fluss Nette gespeist und nördlich und läuft direkt unterhalb des Derneburger Schlosses. Die Wassermühle geht auf das Jahr 1598 und die Zeit des evangelischen Frauenklosters zurück, zu dem es damals gehörte. In unmittelbarer Nähe legten Anfang des 18. Jahrhunderts die Mönche des Zisterzienserordens Fischteiche an, die bis heute für die Fischzucht genutzt werden. Bis 2007 gehörten Wassermühle und Teiche zur Domäne Derneburg und sind seitdem im Besitz der Paul-Feindt-Stiftung.
Die Wassermühle steht unter Denkmalschutz und liegt direkt am Laves-Kulturpfad.
