Die Firma Mack (Niedersachswerfen) stammte ursprünglich aus Hessenthal bei Schwäbisch Hall. Dort ist sie noch vertreten. Die Gipsfabrik Mack war 1886 in Burgbrezingen gegründet worden. 
Sie war der bedeutendste Gewerbebetrieb vor dem Zweiten Weltkrieg in Burgbretzingen, das damals zu Gschlachtenbretzingen zählte.
