Anmerkung:
Die Maschinenbauanstalt Humboldt A.G. war ein deutsches Maschinenbauunternehmen in Köln-Kalk und eines der Vorläuferunternehmen der Deutz AG. Es wurde 1871 als Maschinenbau A.G. Humboldt gegründet, wegen Verschuldung 1884 liquidiert und in die Maschinenbauanstalt Humboldt A.G. umgewandelt.

Unternehmerischer Vorläufer war ein Betrieb von Wimmar Breuer, der in Kalk seit 1853 Lochbleche herstellte. Er wurde 1856 von Breuer sowie den Teilhabern Neuerburg und Sievers als Maschinenfabrik für den Bergbau von Sievers &amp; Co. in Kalk bei Deutz am Rhein aufgebaut.
