Anmerkung:
Die Odertaler Sägemühle, erstmals erwähnt im Jahre 1512, war einst wichtiger Bestandteil eines Wirtschaftszweiges im Harz mitten zwischen Bad Lauterberg, Sankt Andreasberg und Braunlage. Das Holz wurde zur Weiterverwendung in Bergwerken  und für den Häuserbau weiterverarbeitet. Das Sägewerk wurde im Wandel der Geschichte bis zum Jahre 1985 betrieben, anfangs mit Schaufelrad, später mit Wasserturbine, Dampfmaschine oder Dieselmotor.
