Auf allen Seiten ist er mit umlaufenden Rillen verziert. Auf einer Seite besitzt er eine quer verlaufende Rille. Vermutlich ist der Spinnwirtel der mittelalterlichen Besiedlung in Klein oder Groß Meckelsen zuzuordnen. Ungewöhnlich ist das Material des Wirtels. Vermutlich wurde der Spinnwirtel selbst oder das Material aus Skandinavien über die norddeutsche Küstenregion importiert. (Stefan Hesse 05/2023)
