Höhe: 11 cm</mods:extent></mods:physicalDescription><mods:abstract>Hohlgefäß eines auf der Seite liegenden Pumas mit übergroßen Augen und gefletschten Zähnen, die ihm ein bedrohliches Aussehen verleihen. Der Puma symbolisierte Macht und als Jungtier Fruchtbarkeit. Mit diesem Gefäß wurden im Inka-Reich Trankopfer dargebracht. Dazu verwendete man Wasser oder Maisbier, chicha, das getrunken oder als Opfer auf den Boden gegossen wurde.  (Landesmuseum Hannover)
